If possible, work experience will be set up for you to gain some valuable experience in industry. Visits to local employers may also be planned. You will be assessed through a combination of competence assignments (practical and underpinning knowledge) and will be guided to produce a portfolio of evidence to show your competencies and understanding of the qualification. Enrichment Activities: Enrichment opportunities are available using Hamble Community Sports College's facilities. When?Start date: September.Duration: 1-2 years. How is it delivered?: Full-time. Availability: Current and continuing. Time Slot: Daytime. Who can do it?Age range: 16 - 19.Entry Requirements: We recommend that applicants possess a minimum of 3 GCSES at grade D/E, including English, Maths and Science. Or NVQ 1 qualifications, Diplomas or a GCSE in a related subject may also be considered. Students should also have a good attendance report from school and complete a successful interview in College, demonstrating interest and commitment to study. Course Fees: You will need to provide suitable overalls and safety shoes for the course and these must always be worn during practical activities in the workshops to ensure safety is maintained. Technical drawing instruments and a calculator will also need to be purchased within the first term to be able to complete all the aspects of the course - these can be purchased through the college.
